He was born June 11, 1895, at Tyrone, a son of William C. and Annie May (Bressler) Shollenberger, and on Jan. 28, 1924, married Margaret Rhoades. Surviving are his wife, two children, Edward E. of Tyrone and Mrs. Carman L. Reed of Doylestown, five grandchildren, one great- grandson, three half-brothers, Albert Shollenberger of Akron, Ohio, John Shollenberger of Cleveland, Ohio, and Carl of Tyrone, and a half- sister, Miss Ruth Shollenberger of Tyrone. He was a member of the Columbia Avenue Methodist Church, Tyrone Sportsmen, American Legion, VFW and the Sheridan Troop. He was a veteran of World War I, and a P.R.R. machinist, retiring Dec. 12, 1958, after 46 years of service. Friends will be received at the Johnson Funeral Home, Tyrone, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Friday, October 29, 1965
