GERTRUDE SHOPE Of 1220 North Cambria street, Bellwood, died at 1.20 o'clock this morning at the Altoona hospital after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 2, 1871, at Cedar Crest, Mifflin county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hunter. Her husband, Albert Shope, died in 1937. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, C. M. and Norman L. Shope of Bellwood and Mrs. Ada Cook of Birdsboro, Pa.; 11 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ida Harmon of Altoona. Mrs. Shope was a member of the Methodist church. Friends will be received at the Fuoss mortuary after 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. SHOPE - Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Hunter Shope of 1220 North Cambria street, Bellwood, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in charge of Rev. H. S. Hoenstine at the Fuoss mortuary chapel. Interment in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Mount Union. Friends will be received at the Fuoss mortuary chapel after 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
