James I. Shope
 
  James I. Shope, a car inspector, employed by the Pennsylvania 
Railroad company in the Altoona yards, fell from an engine in the yard 
Wednesday morning and was fatally injured, dying at the Altoona 
Hospital, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.  The unfortunate young man was 
aged 21 years and was born in Milesburg, Centre County.  One year ago, 
he was married and only recently went to housekeeping.  His parents, 
James and Julia Shope, his wife and one brother survive.  He was a 
member of the Methodist Church.
