MRS. HARRIET SHORT.

An aged resident of the city, died this morning at 9.25 at the home of 
her daughters, Mrs. G. Hewitt and Mrs. C.? G. Sperry, 2429 Beale 
avenue.  She was aged 84 years and death was due to the diseases 
incident to advanced age.  The deceased was the widow of S. A. Short, 
who died ten years ago.  The following children survive: Mrs. W. H. 
Minder, Mrs. C. G. Sperry, Mrs. W. L. Mylie, Mrs. G. Hewitt, all of 
Altoona, and one son, H. W. Short, of South Fork.  Thirteen 
grandchildren also survive, as do eight great-grandchildren.  She was a 
member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church and the funeral will be held 
at that church at an hour to be announced later.  Friends are asked to 
omit flowers.
