SHOVER Of 623 Third avenue, died suddenly at his home at 4.15 o'clock this morning after having been ill for some time. He was born in Mifflin May 6, 1876, a son of Andrew and Mary (Pry) Shover. Mr. Shover was a retired freight conductor, having left the service Dec. 11, 1940, after 48 years of employment. His wife, Mrs. Ambra (Jacobs) Shover, preceded him in death. Surviving are the following children: S. H. Shover, Mrs. Bessie Brumbaugh and Mrs. E. J. Green, all of Altoona, Mrs. Joseph Godfrey of Tulsa, Okla., W. L. Shover of Washington, D.C. and Jesse C. of Johnstown; 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Stewart E. Shover of Mifflin. Mr. Shover was a member of the Evangelical church, the B. of R.T. 174, and the Concordia society. Friends are being received at the N. A. Stevens mortuary. SHOVER - Funeral services for Harry E. Shover of 623 Third avenue will be held Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in the Stevens Memorial chapel in charge of Rev. Howard F. Boyer. Interment in Grandview cemetery.
