SHOWERS Of 113 Sixth avenue, died yesterday noon at his home after a brief illness. He was born in Snyder county Feb. 14, 1864, a son of Samuel and Ephemia (North) Showers and married Elma Myrtle McCullough April 12, 1893. Surviving are his wife, these children: George and Mrs. Elsie Beck of Altoona and Lewis M. jr., of Lansdowne; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Sunday of Manasquan, N.J.; three grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Mr. Showers had lived in Altoona for the past 57 years and was a retired painter of the Altoona works. He was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren church, the Odd Fellows and the encampment. Friends will be received at the Gilden-Barton funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. SHOWERS - Funeral services for Lewis McClellan Showers of 113 Sixth avenue, will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Gilden- Barton funeral home in charge of Rev. Byron A. Fulton.
