Mrs. Sarah Ann Shuff.

  Of diseases incident to old age, Mrs. Sarah Ann Shuff died at Altoona 
Sunday evening, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. D Hughes. 
  The deceased was the daughter of James and Sarah Copeland, both long 
since dead, and was born at Cedar Creek, Shenandoah Valley, Va.  She 
was the widow of Abraham Shuff, who died in Altoona in 1888.  Surviving 
her are the following children: J. H. Shuff, of St. Joe, Indiana; J. B. 
Shuff, of Tyrone; Mrs. T. D. Hughes, Mrs. Theodore Schlatter, Mrs. H. 
O. Stratiff and Miss Annie, all of Altoona.  There also survive twenty-
three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  She was a member of 
St Luke's Protestant Episcopal church.  
  Public funeral services will be held at 2.30 o'clock Tuesday 
afternoon at her late home, 701 Sixth avenue, and at their conclusion, 
private interment will be made in Fairview cemetery.
