All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ GEORGE DANIEL SHULTZ 71, formerly of 112 Lanners St., Tyrone died unexpectedly at 9 a.m., Sunday March 22, 1981, in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bernice Bennett of Box 2, Port Matilda, where he had resided for the past two years. Mr. Shultz retired as a custodian a from Big yank Corp., Tyrone in 1976 after eight years' service, and was previously a self-employed farmer. He was born Dec. 11, 1909, in Irish Flat, Huntingdon County, a son of Charles and Sarah (Reeder) Shultz and May 12, 1941, in Tyrone, married Lyda Alice Robinson who died June 3 1977. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Bernice Bennett of Port Matilda and Mrs. Marlene Stimer and George D. both of Tyrone, six grandchildren, two brothers and a sister, Wesley of Bellwood, Robert F. of Marysville and Elia Louise Stimer of Tyrone. Mr. Shultz was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Co. and American Legion Post of Tyrone, Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone. SHULTZ - Services for George Daniel Shultz formerly of 112 Lanners St., Tyrone will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone, by the Rev. Richard G. Felty. Interment with military honors in Grandview Cemetery, Tyrone,. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
