Sigman Choked in Side of Crib Either in falling or in an effort to crawl from the crib bed in which she had been put to sleep, Dorothy Harriet Sigman, 17-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph D. Sigman, of 214 Walnut avenue, was strangled to death by catching her head in the framework of the little bed. The accident happened at the family home at 9:45 o'clock Friday evening. The child slept in the small crib in a second floor bedroom and was slumbering peacefully at 9 o'clock when the room was visited by the parents. At 10 o'clock, when about to retire, they were horrified to find the lifeless little form on the floor, her head caught in the iron work of the bed. Dr. G. D. Bliss was summoned, but life was extinct before he arrived. She was the daughter of Ralph D. and Lulu Blanche (Gardner) Sigman and was born October 2, 1917. Besides the parents, a sister, Mary Florence, survives. The body was taken on Saturday evening to Howard, Centre county, where interment was made yesterday.
