MRS. ALICE MAY SIMMONS
 
Of Greenwood, R.D. 3, formerly of Juniata, died last evening at 8:30 
o'clock at her home.  She was born May 15, 1896, in Altoona, a daughter 
of Abram N. and Emma (Varnicle) Gonder.  Surviving are her husband, Ida 
L. Simmons; five children, Mrs. J. H. Wyandt of Greenwood, Mrs. Glenn 
Guyer and Miss Janet Simmons of Woodbury, Robert N. of Colorado and 
Donald L. of the United States Navy; four grandchildren, and a brother, 
Ira S. Gonder of Altoona.  Mrs. Simmons was a member of the Juniata 
Park Church of The Brethren and The Daughters of America.  Friends will 
be received at The Mauk and Yates Funeral Home after 7 o'clock this 
evening.
