The wife and mother is confined to the Mercy hospital, as is a daughter of the dead man. Another son is seriously ill with the disease. The one boy was discovered in his home Wednesday, alone, in a dying condition without food and with no medical aid. He was then removed to the Altoona hospital, but his condition was such that medicine and careful nursing were of no avail. Joseph died at 4.20 o'clock yesterday morning, and Matthew died at 3.10 yesterday afternoon. The bodies were turned over to Hickey and O'Neil, and a double funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon. The mother does not know that her two boys are dead, physicians fearing that if she were told it might result in her death. She does, however, know that her husband died.
