He was born near Summerhill, Cambria county, Feb. 10, 1858, and came to Altoona ten years ago, being employed by A. A. Johnson, the tinner. He was married to Alice Hoyer, a sister of ex-Mayor S. M. Hoyer, thirty years ago and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church. He is survived by his widow and nine children: John, Roy, William, Mrs. Edward Davis, Mrs. Warsing, Mrs. Geo. Moss, Clara, Gladys and Alice Skelley, all of this city; by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Skelley, one brother, George, and two sisters, Mrs. Euriah Boyles and Mrs. Andrew Rice, all of Summerhill. The funeral will take place on Friday morning at 10 o'clock, with mass at the Sacred Heart church. Interment in Calvary cemetery. (Cambria county papers please copy.)
