Miss Alice Bertha Slack, daughter of Frank P. Slack, died at 7:50 o'clock Saturday morning at the home, 205 Fifth avenue, of pneumonia, after a week's illness. She was born on February 11, 1881, at Waterstreet, and was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for O. H. Kyle. She was a member of Grace Lutheran church, and is survived by the father, of Chicago, and these brothers and sisters: George, of Buffalo; Harry, of Johnstown; Mrs. Anna Gunderman, of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Ida Russell, of this city, and Mary Luella, at home. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Monday, January 13, 1919, page 2
