DANIEL J. SLEMMER
    
  Daniel J. Slemmer, 2314 Beale avenue, died yesterday evening at 6:40 
o'clock after an extended illness.
  He was born in Altoona, March 31, 1889, the son of Daniel J. And Charlotte 
(Weber) Slemmer.
  He is survived by his wife, Margaret Saulsbery Slemmer, one daughter, Mrs. 
Irene B. Young at home; one sister, Mrs. Jennie McElfish of Altoona; one 
brother, Charles Slemmer of Chicago; two grandchildren, Patricia and Robert 
Young.
  Mr. Slemmer was a member of the Bethany Lutheran church, and Fraternal 
Order of Eagles, Altoona aeria [sic], No. 286.  He was a machinist's helper 
at the P.R.R. car shop.
  Friends may call at Lafferty funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
