All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ MILTON GEORGE SLEMMER Husband of Annie Daugherty Slemmer and an employe of the city highway department, died this morning at 5:15 o'clock at his home, 314 East Logan avenue of a complication of diseases, having been taken ill on Saturday. He was born August 16, 1877, in Altoona, the son of Daniel and Charlotte Weber Slemmer and spent all of his life in the East End section. He was married on Aug 18, 1902, in the First United Brethren Church. The wife and these children survive: Mrs. Grace Baker of Portsmouth, Va., James Slemmer of Sharon, Mrs. Charlotte Trexler, Mrs. Viola Miller and Clyde Slemmer, all of Altoona. There are also seven grandchildren and a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Jennie McElfish and Daniel Slemmer of Altoona and Charles Slemmer of Chicago. Mr. Slemmer was of the United Brethren faith and was a member of Logan Lodge, No. 1059, I.O.O.F., and the encampment of the order.
