SLICK Of 1507 Twenty-first avenue, retired carpenter on the Middle division of the Pennsylvania railroad, died at the Altoona hospital at 3.20 p.m. yesterday. He was born Sept. 21, 1861, in Bedford county, a son of Benjamin and Delilah (Hite) Slick. He was married to Eliza Jane Shoenfelt, Nov. 3, 1881, at St. Clairsville. Mrs. Slick died Nov. 4, 1933. Surviving are five grandchildren, Mrs. Joseph Johnson and Mrs. Russell Garis, both of Altoona, Mrs. Kenneth Schucker of Wilmore, Thomas VanAllman of Hollidaysburg, and W. Michael Poet, of the navy; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Dick and Mrs. Wheeler Isenberg, and two brothers, S. Harlan Slick and Frank Slick, all of Roaring Spring. Mr. Slick was a member of the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed church for many years. He was a member of the Chickalacamoose tribe of the Red Men, and Retired Men's association, No. 4. He retired from the railroad company in 1931, after forty-eight years and six months service.
