Slick, of 1507 Twenty-first avenue, Altoona, died at the family home at 6:20 o'clock Saturday morning of complications. She was a daughter of Henry and Mary (Earlenbaugh) Shoenfelt and was born at East Sharpsburg, Taylor township, on June 24, 1858. She was married on Nov. 3, 1881, to Mr. Slick, who survives. Three children born to the union are deceased. Surviving are the following grandchildren: Miss Gertrude J. VanAllman, who resides at her grandparents' home; Mrs. Ruth VanAllman Garris, of Altoona; Thomas Van Allman, of Hollidaysburg and Mary Elizabeth and Willard Poet, of Altoona. She also leaves three great-grandchildren; one brother, George E. Shoenfelt, of Roaring Spring; and a sister, Mrs. Samuel Lynn, of South Lakemont. She was a member of Trinity Reformed church in Altoona for sixty-three years and also was a member of the Ladies of the G.A.R. Funeral services were conducted at the Trinity Reformed church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 in charge of the Rev. J. M. Runkle. Interment was made in Fairview cemetery.
