Smaltz, died Saturday morning at her home in Roaring Spring, aged 28 years, 8 months and 8 days. She was a daughter of C. W. and Sarah E. (deceased) Garber, and was born at Bloomfield, Bedford county. She was married to Charles S. Smaltz. To this union two children were born, one of whom preceded the mother to the spirit world. She is survived by her husband and one little daughter, Edith Marie; also by her father and the following brothers and sisters: J. A. Garber of Weston, Ohio, D. W. of Altoona, and C. O. of Williamsburg, Mrs. J. H. Smaltz and Mrs. C. O. Gilliland of Roaring Spring, Misses Nancy and Maggie, at home. A host of friends also mourn her early death. She was a faithful member of the Church of God, at which church the funeral service was held at 9.30 o'clock Monday morning, conducted by her pastor, Rev. C. H. Grove.
