Smith, widow of Jacob W. Smith, who died 12 years ago, died at her home, 329 North Main street, Gallitzin [on February 11, 1922]. Funeral services will be conducted at the home this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and the body will be taken to Newry, where interment will be made in the Union cemetery. Mrs. Smith was stricken with paralysis nine weeks ago and had been confined to her bed since. She was born in Blair county, near Hollidaysburg, on June 20, 1845, where she resided until about 35 years ago, when she removed to Gallitzin. She is survived by the following children: Thomas, Grace and Levi, at home, and Mrs. Miles Webb, of Duncansville. She is also survived by these brothers and sisters: Joseph Stiffler, of Mehaffey; Peter Stiffler, of Altoona; Adam Stiffler, of Marion, Ohio, and Mrs. Della Seese, of Altoona, and nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
