SMITH 77, of Box 93, Lower Brush Mountain Road, Hollidaysburg RD 2, died unexpectedly at 9:33 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 1981, in Mercy Hospital. She was born March 7, 1903, in Scotia, Centre County, the daughter of Samuel Henry and Jennie Naomi (Helsel) Burket, and Oct. 13, 1923, in Cumberland, Md., married James W. Smith, who died Nov. 24, 1960. Surviving are four children, James W. of Lakehurst, N.J.; Mrs. Doris C. Godfrey, Charles T. and Mrs. Donna P. DeBolt of Hollidaysburg; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, Knights of St. George Auxiliary, Altoona Chapter of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Hollidaysburg Senior Citizens. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Haller Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., January 19, 1981
