Mrs. Annie Smith, of 1807 Twelfth avenue, died at 9.55 last evening of cancer. She was born in County Sligo, Ireland, 55 years ago. She came to America when quite young and has lived since in Blair county, having resided in this city most of the time and in Hollidaysburg for a while. She was married about thirty-four years ago to Peter Smith, who died about eight years after his marriage. The deceased is survived by one son, Matthew, and two daughters, Mrs. W. J. Dean, and Mrs. H. A. Wilson, all living at the family residence, 1807 Twelfth avenue. She is also survived by one brother, Edward Lockard, of Kittanning Point. She has been a member of St. John's church ever since she has been a resident of Altoona. The funeral arrangements not being yet completed will be announced later.
