ANNIE ELIZA (SPRANKLE) SMITH Widow of Samuel B. Smith, died at her home, 309 High street, Williamsburg, last evening at 7:45 o'clock. She had been in failing health for a year but her condition became critical only a week ago. She was born in Indiana on Nov. 23, 1856, the daughter of William and Kezziah Sprankle and was united in marriage with Samuel B. Smith at Spruce Creek on Feb. 6, 1883. They resided on a farm near Williamsburg until the death of the husband when Mrs. Smith moved to Williamsburg where she had resided for the past twenty-six years. Surviving are these children: Aden H. Smith, Mrs. David Garber, Mrs. John Flaig and Mrs. Nora Thompson, all of Williamsburg, and Mrs. Walter Snyder of Huntingdon and eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was the last member of her immediate family. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church, the Aid society, the Women's Missionary society and attended the Women's Bible class of the Sunday school. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock by her pastor, Rev. V. D. Naugle, and interment will be made in the Presbyterian cemetery at Alexandria.
