Smith of South Altoona, died at the Altoona hospital on Monday evening, July 22, at 8:25 o'clock, following a surgical operation. She was born November 26, 1858, in Morrison Cove, Bedford county, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Feather, deceased. In April, 1898, she was married to David B. Smith, who survives her with the following sons: Rolla Francis of 414 Grant avenue, Altoona, and Homer David at home; also by the following stepchildren: Chester E. of Roselawn and Ida May of Altoona; one grandson, Rolla Percival, and the following brothers and sisters: William and John of Roaring Spring, Calvin of Massillon, Ohio, and Mrs. Louisa Bowers of Martinsburg. Throughout life she was a faithful and consistent member of the Evangelical Lutheran church and the possessor of a Christian character that won friends among her acquaintances. Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. G. F. Snyder, of St. Paul's Lutheran church, at the N. A. Stevens' mortuary at 9 o'clock Thursday morning following.
