SMITH Retired Freedom township farmer and member of a pioneer family in what is known as Smith Corner, died at his home at East Freedom, R.D. No. 1, Saturday night at 9 o'clock, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. He was a son of Jacob H. and Hester (Miller) Smith and was born at Smith Corner Aug. 28, 1865 and spent most of his life there, but residing for a time during his later years in Altoona. Surviving are one sister, Millie M. Smith, of East Freedom, R.D., and one brother Albert N. Smith of Hollidaysburg, R.D. No. 2. Friends will be received at the home. SMITH - Funeral services for Calvin W. Smith of East Freedom R.D., will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the East Freedom United Brethren church in charge of Rev. E. A. Sharp.
