CELIA AMELIA BUTLER SMITH Died at her home near East Freedom Sunday night at 10.35 o'clock of complications following an illness of about four years, although she was confined to her bed less than a week. She was the daughter of Alex, deceased, and Jane Butler, and was born fifty-one years ago in Freedom township where she spent her entire life. She was unite din marriage to George Smith of East Freedom who died about thirteen years ago and to this union ten children were born all of whom are living. She was again united in marriage to Irvin Smith of Freedom township. She is survived by her husband, her mother of East Freedom, and ten children: Arvilla, Marie, Irvin, and Sherman, at home; Eldon, Brady, Millard, Russel, Mrs. Lilly Bowser, and Mrs. Ethel Teeters, all of East Freedom, also two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Dell of Juniata and Mrs. Bessie Dively of Carlem. She was a member of the Lutheran church at Newry. The funeral cortege will leave the home west of East Freedom Wednesday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock and proceed to the Newry Lutheran church, where services will be conducted.
