Smith, M.D. The deceased was born in Frankstown, Blair Co., Pa., and was the eldest daughter of Seth R. McCune, Esq. She had long been a member of the Presbyterian church, and was always a consistent communicant, evincing with great diffidence and modesty, such virtues that none could doubt her purity and devotion. She combined with the simplicity of a child those sterling qualities of heart and mind, which urges a wife and mother to the conscientious discharge of her duties and the strict observance of all the christian virtues. She was a most affectionate daughter, wife and mother, and her many loving qualities will ever be cherished in the hearts of those comprising the family circle. She had many friends who will long miss her, and by whom she will long be remembered. After a protracted illness, she gently fell asleep in Jesus, testifying of the Saviour's faithfulness, and rejoicing that she was ready when the Master called. "She has left us, and forever She has moved a little nearer To the lover of all virtues" B. The Register, Hollidaysburg, Pa., Wednesday, August 16, 1871
