ELMER H. SMITH,

Former resident of Altoona, died last Sunday night at his home in Long 
Island, N.Y., of a heart ailment.  He left here about two and one-half years 
ago.  Deceased was aged about 49 years and he is survived by one step-sister 
and one step-brother, Mrs. Belle Bridenbaugh of this city and William Goss 
of Mill Creek.  The body will be brought to the Dick Funeral home in 
Huntingdon and funeral services will be conducted at that place tomorrow 
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.  Interment will be made at Mill Creek. Mr. Smith 
had many friends in Altoona.
