SMITH A well known resident of Smith Corner, Freedom township, died yesterday morning of a complication of diseases after having been ill for six months. He was born in Freedom township on Sept. 29, 1871, a son of Jacob and Hettie (Miller) Smith, and had resided in the township all his life, engaging in trucking and farming and conducting a small grocery store until recently. Surviving are one sister and three brothers, Miss Minnie Smith, with whom he resided, Harry and Calvin W. Smith of East Freedom and Albert Smith of Canoe Creek. Mr. Smith was a member of the Smith Corner Mennonite church. Funeral services will be held in the church at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment will be made in Pine Grove cemetery, Puzzletown.
