Henry Smith, a well known citizen of this community, after an illness of a year or more, died at his home at Tyrone Forges yesterday at 12:30 p. m. Mr. Smith was a forgeman and for many years, while in health, worked at Tyrone Forges and other places. His father, John Smith, was a pioneer settler in this section. He was aged 62 years. He is survived by his wife, four daughters and six sons: Mrs. Samuel Shively, Mrs. Arthur Jones, jr., Mrs. Charles Richardson, at Ironsville, and Miss Nettie, at home; Robert, John, Thomas, Henry, Frederick and Calvin, at home. Funeral services will be held at his late home tomorrow at 10 a. m., to be conducted by his pastor, Rev. D. F. Kapp. Interment at Birmingham cemetery.
