SMITH Died at the home of his niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey B. Smith, Sr., of 1716 Seventh avenue, Juniata, at 2:25 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Smith was born in East Freedom, Pa., May 16, 1874, the son of Frank and Christena (Harker) Smith. He formerly worked on the tracks on the Middle division of the Pennsylvania railroad. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Frank Stiner of Altoona, and a brother, Charles E. Smith of Altoona; a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Newry, Pa. Friends are being received at the Mauk & Yates funeral home after 6 o'clock Wednesday evening. SMITH - Funeral services for Howard G. Smith, of 1716 Seventh avenue, Juniata, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Mauk and Yates funeral home in charge of Rev. Bernard Rollins. Interment in Newry cemetery.
