SMITH.

  James Arthur Smith, aged 19, an attendant at the Blair County 
hospital, died at that institution at 11.30 o'clock yesterday morning 
of pneumonia, superinduced by influenza.  Little is known of his past 
life, he spending his early days at New Philadelphia.  His father, John 
Smith survives as does one sister, Miss Rose Helen Smith, of New 
Philadelphia.  The remains were turned over to Lafferty and Tobias, and 
this morning they will be shipped to New Philadelphia where services 
will be held Saturday.
