LEWIS WATSON SMITH Dr. Lewis Watson Smith, well known in this city, died at his home, 6024 Station street, East End, Pittsburg, on Friday morning at 2 o'clock. Deceased was the son of Rev. J. L. Smith, deceased, and Mrs. Caroline E. Smith, and was born on March 21, 1873. He was graduated from Gettysburg college in 1893 and from the medical department, university of Pennsylvania, in 1901. He served as an interne at the Allegheny General hospital and after a year took up the practice of his profession in Pittsburg and was engaged in active practice until four months ago when he was taken ill. He was a member of the Allegheny County Medical society, of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, American Association Gynecologists and Obstetricians and of the staff of the Pittsburg Free dispensary. He was married on June 17, 1914 to Miss Arletta L. Kipple, of this city, who survives with an infant daughter, Lucile. He is also survived by his mother, a sister and a brother, all of Pittsburg.
