MATILDA M. SMITH, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maggie E. Smith, of 
Logan township, near Gardner's Mills, yesterday afternoon at 4 of 
cancer.  She was born in Antis township, this county, Feb. 22, 1833, 
and resided at that place nearly all her life.  Her husband, James 
Smith, died 18 years ago.  She is survived by the following children: 
Mrs. Margaret E. Smith, of Logan township; Mrs. Annie Brown Woods, of 
Pottsgrove; Mrs. Jennie Smith, John R., Charles G., of Antis township; 
F. B. of Juniata, and William H., of Fairview. Services will be 
conducted at the house Saturday morning at 10. Interment in Antis 
township cemetery.
