The deceased was born near Frederick City, Md., and came to Newry when he was about 13 years of age. Moved to Frankstown at the time of the building of the canal, where he first engaged in business as a merchant. His remains were interred, on Wednesday, in the Dunkard grave yard, Allegheny township, and were followed to their final resting place by a large concourse of relatives, friends and members of the Masonic fraternity, of which order he was a worthy and faithful member of 22 years standing. At the grave the usual Masonic ceremonies were performed by W. M. John Suckling of Juniata Lodge, of which the deceased was a member.
