MRS. VERNA SMITH

Wife of Richard P. Smith of Claysburg, died at 6.55 o'clock last evening at 
her home after an extended illness.  She was born near Queen, Bedford county, 
July 28, 1907, a daughter of George McC. and Anna Mary (Finnegan) Wright.  
Surviving are her husband, one step-daughter, Jorene, at home; these sisters 
and brothers: Mrs. Dessie Hoover of Leamersville, Mrs. Naomi Naugle of 
Altoona, Mrs. Suie [sic] Otto of Claysburg, Merrill M., Harvey E. and Clyde 
G. Wright, all of Imler, R.D.  Mrs. Smith was a member of the Grenefield 
[sic] Evangelical and Reformed church and the Ladies' Aid society of the 
church.  Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.
