WILLIAM C. SMITH.

  At 3.25 o'clock Saturday morning William C. Smith, died at the home 
of his sister Mrs. Annie Rosenberry, 3213 Walnut avenue, of a 
complication of diseases.  Deceased was born in Allegheny City, 
September, 1857.  He had been a resident of Altoona for about twenty 
years.  He was never married and is survived by one sister, Mrs. 
Rosenberry.  He was a member of lodge 360, Knights of Maccabees. The 
funeral will take place this afternoon, services to be conducted at the 
house by Rev. Henry Howard Stiles, pastor of the Second Presbyterian 
church at 2 o'clock.  Interment in Fairview cemetery.
