He was born Aug. 4, 1880, at Huntingdon Furnace, the son of Mills M. and Nancy Wike Smith. On June 21, 1917, at Tyrone, he married Mary Neff. Surviving are the widow, a brother, P. W. Smith, Tyrone and three sisters: Mrs. Carrie Sprankle, Tyrone; Miss Sarah Smith, Philadelphia and Mrs. Lulu Berry, Williamsport. He was a member of the Columbia Avenue Methodist Church, of the official board of that church, Men's Bible Class, I.O.O.F., Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks, and of the P.R.R. Retired Men's Association. He was a retired P.R.R. clerk. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Columbia Avenue Methodist Church. The Rev. Dennis Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Eastlawn cemetery. Friends will be received at the Glass funeral home Friday evening 7 to 9 o'clock; Saturday afternoon 2 to 4 o'clock and Saturday evening 7 to 9 o'clock.
