The funeral of Mrs. Clara Snare, wife of Samuel Snare, who died Sunday of influenza, was held at the home on Clover Creek Tuesday afternoon and interment made in the Lutheran cemetery, Shellytown. The deceased is survived by four married children and eight at home. Within the last two weeks five deaths have occurred in the family from influenza. A daughter- in-law, Mrs. Reuben Snare, formerly Miss Myers, and infant about two weeks ago who of the same household, succumbed to the disease, while the husband and father is detained overseas in the National service, also a daughter, Mrs. William Fry and infant, who were buried Monday in the Presbyterian cemetery, Williamsburg, were stricken and died within this period.
