EMMA SNAVELY Mrs. Emma Koontz Snavely, widow of J. W. Snavely, died at 2 p.m. Friday at her home, 817 Sixth avenue. Mrs. Snavely was a daughter of Joseph and Rebecca Diehl Koontz, born in August, 1860. She was a member of Trinity Reformed church. Her husband died eight years ago. Surviving are one daughter, Miss Mable Snavely, at the home, four brothers and seven sisters: D. F. Koontz, Mansfield, O.; Mrs. Mary Amos, Lorain, O.; J. C., W. D. and C. E. Koontz, Mrs. Sadie Koontz, Mrs. Louise Shoemaker, Mrs. Margaret James, Friend's Cove; Mrs. May Johnson, Lancaster; Mrs. Anna Hardman and Miss Grace Koontz, Bedford. Funeral service will be held at the home Monday, 2:30 p.m., in charge of the Rev. J. M. Runkle, Ph. D. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Saturday, June 27, 1931, page 14
