SNOWBERGER 79, of Roaring Spring RD 1, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 1979, in Altoona Hospital. Mr. Snowberger retired in 1969 as a self-employed butcher and meatcutter. He was born Jan. 31, 1900, in Freedom Township, the son of Grant and Margaret (Hainley) Snowberger, and was twice married, first to Nancy J. Bridenbaugh, who died Sept. 17, 1938, then to Ida Sollenberger, who died in 1969. Surviving are seven children, Paul E., Mrs. Mary Camerer and Mrs. Sarah Free of Roaring Spring RD 1, Glen and Howard of Duncansville RD, and Michael and Lee of Martinsburg; 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel May of Duncansville RD and Mrs. Lucinda Rath of East Freedom RD. Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. SNOWBERGER - Services for Orval R. Snowberger of Roaring Spring RD 1 will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, by the Rev. A. Emmert Frederick and Rev. Christian Arndt. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Altoona Mirror, August 2, 1979 FIRE COMPANY MEMBER Orval R. Snowberger of Roaring Spring RD 1, who died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 1979, was a life member of the East Freedom Volunteer Fire Company, and he drove a school bus for Paul and Jean Hicks of East Freedom.
