MRS. REBECCA E. SNOWBERGER

Mrs. Rebecca Ellen Snowberger, the widow of Hance Snowberger, died at her 
East Altoona home at 11:55 p.m. Saturday.

A daughter of Philip and Barbara Klotz Brown, she was born in Bedford county, 
March 26, 1870. She was a faithful member of the Williamsburg Lutheran 
church. Mr. Snowberger died February 2, 1923. Members of her family include 
the following children: Mrs. Dora Terrizzi, of Shirleysburg, Daisie and 
Theodore at home, and Charles of Philadelphia; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Baker 
of Duncansville, Mrs. Myrtle Ayers of Roaring Spring; a brother, Lloyd Brown, 
of Texas; and four grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the Mauk and Yates funeral home in Altoona, until 2 
pm. tomorrow. Funeral service will be held in the Williamsburg Lutheran 
church at 4 p.m. tomorrow with the Rev. Naugle officiating. Interment will be 
in the Williamsburg cemetery.

Widow of Hance Snowberger, died at her home in East Altoona at 11.55 o'clock 
Saturday morning. She was born in Bedford county on March 2, 1870, a daughter 
of Philip and Barbara (Klotz) Brown. Her husband died on Feb. 2, 1923. 
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Dora Trizzi of Shirleysburg, 
Daisie and Theodore, at home, and Charles of Philadelphia; four 
grandchildren, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Jennie Baker of 
Duncansville, Mrs. Myrtle Ayers of Roaring Spring and Lloyd Brown of Texas. 
Mrs. Snowberger was a member of the Williamsburg Lutheran church. The body 
may be viewed at the Mauk & Yates funeral home until 2 o'clock tomorrow 
afternoon. Funeral services will be held in the Williamsburg Lutheran church 
at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be made [copy cut off]

MRS. REBECCA SNOWBERGER

Mrs. Rebecca Snowberger of Altoona died Jan. 9 at the age of 67 years. A 
daughter of Philip and Barbara (Klotz) Brown, she was born in this county. 
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday and interment made in Williamsburg.

NOTE: Although this obituary was from the 1936 volume, January 9th in 1936 
fell on a Thursday, not a Saturday. January 9th did fall on a Saturday in 
1937, so perhaps this was her actual year of death. Need to order death 
certificate to confirm or deny this. - Michael Caldwell
