Mr. Snyder retired on disability from the Juniata blacksmith shop April 9, 1947. He was born Sep. 14, 1889, in Roaring Spring, the son of Jacob G. and Edyth (Lingenfelter) Snyder. Surviving are his wife, Elda (Stewart) Snyder, formerly from Martinsburg, whom he married March 9, 1912, and five children, Jacob W. of Warren, O., Arthur A., jr., of Altoona, George S., at home, Joseph C., with the air force in Japan and Mrs. Namey E. Mark of Pasadena, Md.; eight grandchildren, one brother, Allan D. of Kentucky, and four sisters, Mrs. Richard Havens and Mrs. Clarence Dively of Altoona, Mrs. Mary Millisen of Boston and Mrs. Grace Strayer of Mt. Holly Springs. He was a member of the Mennonite church, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received at the Mauk & Yates funeral home after 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Altoona Mirror, March 24, 1951
