He was born Jan. 18, 1907, at Tyrone, the son of Harry A. and Mayme Worley Snyder. He was married on March 20, 1928, at Tyrone, to Catherine Bonsell, who died May 30, 1945. Surviving are the mother, Tyrone; the following brothers and sisters: Harry M. St. Louis, Mo.; Blair B., Tyrone; Miss Hilda A., Altoona; Mrs. Grace B. Leeper, Altoona; Mrs. Twila L. Etters, Tyrone; Mrs. Beryl V. Beltz, Altoona; Mrs. Faye M. Thomas, Tyrone. He attended the First Evangelical United Brethren Church. He was a former head of the Cooties, VFW organization; a member of the Anderson-Denny Post No 4559, Veterans of Foreign Wars; of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Co. He was manager of the V.F.W. Teenage baseball team. He was employed at the West Virginia Pulp & Paper Co. plant here the past 35 years. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First E. U. B. Church in charge of the Rev. Byron Bishop. Burial will be in Blair Memorial Park with full military honors. Friends are being received at the Johnson Funeral Home until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, and thereafter at the church. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., May 28, 1962
