DAVID J. SNYDER 

  David J. Snyder, 65, of 704 W. 15th Street, Tyrone, died Tuesday, 
Dec. 23, 2003 at Altoona Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer.
  He was born April 26, 1938 in Tyrone, a son of the late Clinton 
Elwood Snyder and Dorothy E. (Snyder) Herlt. He married Marianne 
Prommersberger on Aug. 6, 1959 in Straubing, Germany.
  Mr. Snyder is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years; three 
daughters: Dorothy A. Johnson and husband, Paul of Sinking Valley, 
Tammy L. Workinger and husband, Jim, of Bellwood and Christine D. 
Chronister and husband, Jayme of Warriors Mark; a son: David J. Jr. and 
wife Stacey of Bellwood.; four grandchildren; Mandy Bradford, Sean 
Johnson, Leah and Jeana Chronister; three sisters: Nancy Itinger, 
Tyrone; Cheryl Baney, Tipton RD 5 Tyrone and Jonelle Reese of 
Williamsburg, Va.
  Mr. Snyder retired as a line operator at PPG Industries, Tipton.
  He was a 1956 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School. He served as a 
sergeant in the Army from 1956-1960.
  Mr. Snyder was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and bass 
fishing.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 26 
at the Jon C. Russin Funeral, Bellwood.
  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 at 
the funeral home with Pastor David Ervine officiating.
  Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
  Expressions of sympathy in David's memory may be made to the Central 
Pa. Humane Society or Pallative Care Unit, Altoona Hospital.
