He went to the Presbyterian Church, and before the services were over, he felt unwell, when his son accompanied him home, but only a few doors from his house, he fell, and in a few minutes after being carried to his house, he breathed his last. He was aged 66 years. A couple years ago, Mr. Snyder had a stroke of apoplexy, which somewhat enfeebled an otherwise vigorous constitution, and it is supposed that his death was caused by the same complaint. Mr. Snyder was born in Germany, and came to this country, we believe, when a boy. He was a resident of this place, for the last forty years, nearly all of which time he was engaged in the drug business. He loved his adopted country, and took a deep interest in all our national affairs. As a citizen of Hollidaysburg, he was always in favor of improvements, public schools, and everything that would advance our interests. He was a deep reader, and for many years a consistent member of the Presbyterian Church. A good man, a good citizen, has left us. We sympathize with the bereaved family. Peace to his memory. The Register, Hollidaysburg, Pa., Wednesday, April 8, 1874
