Snyder of 520B Dartmouth Lane, Greenwood, died unexpectedly at his home at 3 p.m. yesterday. Mr. Snyder was the owner of Snyder's 5 and 10-Cent Store, Juniata, and also was employed for 17 years as a salesman for Hite & Thompson, Inc., wholesale dry goods distributors of Clearfield. He was born in Pittsburgh Sept. 3, 1901, a son of Otto and Mollie Snyder. Mr. Snyder was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Juniata Business Men's Association and Greenwood Lions Club. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marie M. (Skelly) Snyder; one daughter Mrs. Elsie M. Carnevale of Altoona; two sons, Donald E. of Altoona, and Robert A. at home, five sisters, Sister Eudocia, C.S.A. of Minnesota, Mrs. Christine Reilley of McKees Rocks, Mrs. Mollie Schenk, Mrs. Palma Buchanan and Mrs. Mildred Burchfield, all of Altoona; one step-brother, Carl Haller of Altoona, and three grandchildren.
