At half-past 2 o'clock yesterday morning William L. Snyder died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. William Burket, No. 820 Chestnut avenue, aged 78 years, 2 months and 25 days. Mr. Snyder had been a sufferer from paralysis and Monday last he was compelled to take his bed. A former resident of Martinsburg, Mr. Snyder made his home with his son, James D. Snyder, in Ebensburg, until recently, when he came to Altoona. Eight children survive him - Mrs. Keziah Shoemaker, of Leavenworth, Kansas; Mrs. J. G. Herbst, Mrs. S. B. Lysinger and Alice, wife of William Burket, of Altoona; R. P. and T. C. Snyder, of Leavenworth, Kansas; James D. Snyder, a conductor on the Ebensburg branch road and a resident of Ebensburg, and William L. Snyder, of Roaring Spring. Deceased was a member of the Church of God, a man of most kindly disposition, an unobtrusive, law-abiding citizen. Funeral services will be held at the house at half-past 7 o'clock this evening, and to-morrow morning the body will be taken on the 8.15 train to Martinsburg for interment.
