On Friday John SOMMERS, a former resident of Altoona, died at his home in 
Burnham, Pa., of diseases incident to old age. Deceased was aged 80 years and 
was born in Cumberland county. He had resided in Altoona until ten years ago 
when he went to Burnham where he had since resided. He was a member of the 
Methodist church, and is survived by his second wife and five children, Thad., 
George, Kate and Sylvia, all of Altoona, and Mrs. Robert Scutchall, of 
Hollidaysburg. He also leaves several brothers and sisters, only one of whom, H. 
Sommers, resides here. The remains will be brought here for interment.
