THEODORE SORIANO,

Well known Italian resident and merchant of this city, died yesterday 
afternoon at 12.50 o'clock at his home at 709 Eighth avenue after a short 
illness, death being caused by pneumonia.  He was taken sick on Christmas 
night.  Mr. Soriano was born in St. Marco, Italy, on Sept. 21, 1877, and 
came to this country when a boy.  He had been a resident of this city for 
the past twenty-six years, and was a shoemaker by trade, conducting a shoe 
shop at 702 Fourth street, for a number of years.  For the past eight years 
he has been conducting a shoe store at 709 Eighth avenue.  He was a member 
of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church, the order and the Crown of Italy society.  
Deceased is survived by his wife, Barbara Long Soriano, one son and one 
daughter, John at home and Mrs. Lucy Guagliardo of 1822 Third avenue; also 
by one sister residing in New Jersey and a brother in Italy.  The funeral 
services will be held at Mt. Carmel church with high mass on Monday morning 
at 9 o'clock.  Interment will be made in Calvary cemetery.
