Soyster, long a grocer in Altoona, died suddenly at 3.30 o'clock this morning at the family home, 1506 Ninth street. Death was due to a heart attack. She was born in Roaring Spring on July 16, 1873, a daughter of Martin and Sarah (Bowers) Miller and was married on Dec. 25, 1892, by Rev. David D. Sell of Leamersville. The family resided in Altoona for many years. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Flora V. Meadows of Duncansville, Mrs. Mary A. Fethers of Eldorado, Mrs. Ruth N. Carper of Spruce Creek, H. Leroy Soyster of Philadelphia, Earl M. Soyster of Altoona, and Bertha V., Vera M., Pauline A. and Clarence E. Soyster, all at home. Eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive, along with the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Annie Drysdale and Mrs. Ella Shaffer, both of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Vida Bond, George Miller, Edwin Miller ad Elmer Miller; all of California. She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren. The funeral will be held at 2.30 o'clock Wednesday from the church with service in charge of Rev. W. S. Long, pastor.
